A force for good

We know just how important it is to take care of the environment, and we are extremely sensitive to the impact our properties may have on the local communities within which we operate. We believe in environmentally sustainable tourism and remain committed to making a difference wherever we can.

Eating & drinking thoughtfully

At The Lodge, dining is rooted in the seasons and the Alps around us. We preserve summer apricots into winter jams, source cheese, milk and meats from nearby farms, and grow or forage many of our own herbs and flowers. Alpine water flows straight from the source, our kitchen makes the most of every ingredient, and we proudly pour local Swiss wines.

Energy & resources

We're proud to keep The Lodge running on clean Swiss hydropower and have swapped out gas boilers for Verbier's wood-pellet district heating network. Our gardens thrive thanks to on-site composting and a wormery, whilst any leftover food waste is collected by GASTROVERT and transformed into biogas. To save water and energy, we refresh towels on request. For those travelling by electric car, we've got an EV charging point ready for your use. Every little choice helps us reduce our footprint without compromising on your comfort. 

Reducing waste & plastic

We're cutting down on water wherever we can. Single-use plastics are out - instead, we champion reusable bottles, with proceeds from bottle sales funding clean-water projects in Africa.
