Venture Out
Shetani Lava Flow - Visit the Shetani Lava Flow, where a fiery magmastream erupted from the Chyulu Hills 200 years ago. Named ‘Shetani’ (meaning devil in Swahili) by locals who believed it was the devil emerging from the earth, this vast expanse of folded black lava offers a spectacular view.
Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary - The Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary is home to around80endangered black rhinos. As one of East Africa’s key conservation projects, it houses 18% of Kenya’s black rhino population in a highly protected area. The best time to visit is between 4pm to 6pm.

Poachers Lookout - Enjoy a stunning 360-degree view of the plains and spectacular vistas of Mount Kilimanjaro at Poachers Lookout, a historic rush-roofed hut atop a hill in Tsavo. Once a base for KWS rangers fighting poachers.

Mzima Springs - Mzima Springs, meaning “alive,” are fed by natural streams from Mount Kilimanjaro. This vibrant oasis offers a unique wildlife experience, with an underwater observation chamber to watch fish shoals and, if you’re lucky, a glimpse of the resident hippos.

'Night Out' Rhino Sanctuary Visit - Experience the thrill of spotting black rhinos at Nguila Rhino Sanctuary under the cover of night. Depart from camp at 6pm after an early 5pmdinner, arriving between 7:30pm - 8pm. Equipped with night vision goggles, witness the elusive black rhinos in their most active hours. Stay overnight on a rustic elevated platform, with hot teas, coffee, and ponchos provided. Return to camp by 9am the following morning.
