Pack your trunks (and your swimmers) – it’s safari time! Whatever their age, taking your children on safari is an unforgettable way to introduce them to the wild and capture their imagination. From half term breaks to winter sun escapes, gather your herd for an adventure they’ll never forget.
Swap the wildlife documentaries for the real thing at Mahali Mzuri in Kenya; they can spot leopards and lions, wildebeest and elephants, giraffes and cheetahs in the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Children are known as “Little Warriors” , and those aged 6 and above can join their parents on daily game drives. Families with younger children don’t need to worry about missing out on the safari fun either, with private closed game vehicles available to book, they can also enjoy tailored activities, including visits to the local community and Maasai jumping competitions.
After a busy day of adventures our family tents are the perfect place to chill out, with children’s books, games and toys. Did you know? Best of all kids stay free at Mahali Mzuri when sharing a tent with at least one adult.
South Africa also offers some of the best wildlife watching on the planet, and Ulusaba is the ultimate family-friendly safari destination.
There’s plenty for the Cubs (that’s the young explorers of the group) to learn, they can examine animal footprints with our friendly team of expert Rangers and Trackers and then set off in the vehicle to follow them and find their owner. Watch their faces light up as they tick off some of the Big Five on twice-daily game drives.
There’s plenty of rooms and suites that work well for families. Children of all ages are welcome at Rock Lodge, and Cliff Lodge can be hired exclusively by families looking for a little extra privacy.
While parents soak up the views on a lounger, younger family members can have a wild time at our “Cubs Club”, there’s plenty of activities to keep them out of trouble, including treasure hunts, pizza making and getting creative with some traditional arts and crafts.
Make the most of our family offer and bring the kids to Ulusaba until 21st December 2020, and up to one cub can stay for free.
