Anyone who’s been on safari before knows that no two game drives are ever the same! At Ulusaba there are two daily game drives, one leaving early in the morning and one leaving late afternoon, each lasting around for three hours. As we - and our guests - traverse over 13,500 hectares of private reserve it's important to continually keep learning and spending time brushing up on our skills.
The Rangers and Trackers team recently took part in some bush skills training with Lee and Kersey from Nature Guide Training. This training we do as a team covers various skill sets such as track and sign identification, trailing a set of tracks and, most importantly, letting the team spend time together learning from Lee and Kersey who are instrumental to the industry in sharing their experiences and incredible knowledge.
In our field you can never stop learning so spending time together to broaden our knowledge that we can share with our guests is very important to us.
And of course, spending time together out in the bush learning is also good team building and we all enjoy a good laugh and a bit of banter as you will have probably seen on our sofa safaris!
