After the heavy snowfalls across the Swiss Alps last month, the 4 Vallées have officially opened their lifts to welcome the start of the 2019 winter ski and snowboard season.
The early season conditions have been very promising, and as more snow has continued to settle, the depth has been building, with more than half a metre of fresh snow in the Verbier Valley.
The Lodge looks like a giant snow globe!
In the week ahead, more snow is expected to arrive across the region. On and off the pistes, the snow depths are expected to increase anywhere between 9cm to 20cm each night, and with temperatures below freezing, there’s no sign of the snow thawing out any time soon.
Ready to hit the Verbier slopes in 2020? Get your skis on as there are only a few rooms still available during our February & March hotel weeks.
