It’s been just over a year now since we reopened Necker Island(back in October 2018) and it has been extraordinary to see how things are progressing as we continue to improve the island to make it the best yet.
It’s been an unbelievable journey since Hurricane Irma, there’s been an incredible amount of work going on everywhere in the British Virgin Islands to rebuild the region, and it’s great to see things beginning to flourish again.
Speaking of flourishing the animals have certainly been enjoying their new surroundings, so much so that there have been baby lemurs and over 100 baby flamingos welcomed into the Necker family recently.
If you haven’t seen some of the snaps from the island recently, we thought you might want a little tour around….
Perched on the highest point of the island, the newly restored Great House is looking better than ever.
There are 10 guest bedrooms in the Great House, all with king-size beds and en-suite bathrooms, as well as a bunk room for up to six children.
On the top floor, there’s the Master Suite which has spectacular wrap around views of the Caribbean Sea and beyond.
The Bali Lo complex has three beautiful private houses; Bali Lo, Bali Buah and Bali Kukila, each built in an authentic Balinese style and can sleep 2 adults.
…And relax! At the beautifully refurbished Samudra Spa, right on the beachfront, the views are as magnificent as the treatments.
When the sun goes down, the party starts! The Beach Pavilion is looking better than ever and has plenty of places to dine at, and it overlooks the tennis courts.
It has been a busy year and we’re not ready to put our feet up just yet! The final construction work is due to finish in the next few months and will see the reopening of further guestrooms; including a new and improved Bali Hi complex (Bali Hi, Bali Cliff and Bali Beach) each with their own plunge pool, and two new rooms in Temple House (Temple Master Suite and Temple Sunrise).
Don’t forget about our Celebration Weeks throughout the year when you can book an individual room, rather than hiring the whole island.
