Celebrate Christmas Eve at MIKO with seasonal, creative dishes and live music from Leigh Hondy, including Christmas carols. It's the perfect way to start the festive evening before the big day, with good food, good company, and music to match the occasion. This Durban-born singer entertains audiences with timeless, elegant original songs, carols, and covers.

Christmas Day Lunch at MIKO

Let our culinary team take the stress out of Christmas lunch and treat you to a festive feast. Arrive to a glass of Cap Classique, then enjoy an elegant buffet spread: a family-style harvest table followed by sharing platters and festive desserts, all with the polish you'd expect from MIKO.
Plus, enjoy live music from Lionel Beukes, a South African jazz musician and composer who grew up in District Six, Cape Town. He started playing professionally in 1970 and performed and recorded albums with the renowned South African pianist Abdullah Ebrahim (Dollar Brand).
Lionel plays the double bass and electric bass, and is also a vocalist. His repertoire includes jazz standards by artists such as Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong and Frank Sinatra.

Christmas Day Picnics
Skip the formal sit-down lunch this year and spend Christmas Day outdoors at Mont Rochelle instead, with a relaxed picnic on the lawns and roaming live music setting the mood. It's a lovely alternative to the traditional Christmas Day lunch, with the Franschhoek mountains as your backdrop and good wine close at hand.
Our Christmas Picnic Baskets are available for the day, with each basket including a bottle of wine per couple from the Mont Rochelle range (Rosé, Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc).

Take a break from the festivities and head up to the Tasting Deck at Mont Rochelle for a Christmas Day wine tasting with a view. Work your way through the range, glass by glass, with the mountains all around and roaming live music keeping the mood lively throughout the day. It's the perfect spot for a toast with family and friends, wherever your Christmas Day takes you next.

New Year's Eve Celebration in MIKO

Join us for an unforgettable New Year's Eve dinner celebration filled with music, flavour, and festive cheer. The evening begins with canapés and sparkling bubbly, before Carol Thorns, South Africa's leading electric cellist, takes the stage for an hour-long performance.
Settle in for a five-course dinner as Marco and his three-piece band play throughout the evening, keeping the celebration going. From 9pm, Newton takes over to set the countdown tone, blending soulful vocals, guitar, and violin with a mix of covers and originals, the perfect soundtrack to welcome 2027 in style.
