A new design story, rooted in nature

In partnership with world-renowned design studios Luxury Frontiers and Orbic, Ulusaba’s lodges are being re-envisioned to feel even more connected to the raw beauty of the Sabi Sand. Inspired by Tsonga heritage, the new design embraces natural textures, artisan detailing, and a palette drawn from the surrounding bush: warm timbers, stone accents, and soft earthy tones that allow the wilderness to take centre stage.

Every detail is being crafted with purpose, combining sustainability, smart energy systems, and a deep focus on enhancing your connection to nature.

Rock Lodge

At Rock Lodge, floor-to-ceiling glass doors frame sweeping views of the African plains, blurring the line between your private suite and the wilderness beyond. Each suite features a private plunge pool and deck, while the lodge offers indoor and outdoor dining, a boma, spa, wine cellar, bar, and swimming pool for relaxed days in the Sabi Sand.

Cliff Lodge

Perched on a rugged outcrop at Rock Lodge, Cliff Lodge is being transformed into an exclusive private hideaway with breathtaking southern views. The two spacious, light-filled suites, including one with access to a shared deck and pool, feature panoramic vistas, a private chef’s prep kitchen and refreshment station, with a private access road ensuring complete seclusion and privacy.

Safari Lodge

Set along a dry riverbed, Safari Lodge features eight Elephant Suites and The Hide, three elevated suites overlooking the hippo-filled dam and ideal for families or friends. Each suite offers floor-to-ceiling glass doors, a private plunge pool, and deck, while the lodge’s dining spaces, boma, spa, gym, wine cellar, and pool blend comfort, luxury, and a close connection to the African bush.

The Hide

Elevated beside a hippo-filled dam at Safari Lodge, The Hide’s three exclusive treehouse-inspired suites offer intimate wildlife encounters and a deep sense of seclusion. Designed for families or small groups, a separate shared living space features a spacious lounge, indoor and outdoor dining areas, and an expansive deck with a boma firepit, creating a warm communal haven that balances privacy with togetherness.
