When is Son Bunyola open?
The hotel is open from March to November 2025. The villas are available all year round.
Can we get married at Son Bunyola?
Yes! Say ‘I do’ in the private setting of our tranquil hotel or villa gardens, with the Tramuntana mountains as your backdrop. We offer civil ceremonies too, so you can formally tie the knot right here on the estate.
Besides the sprawling gardens, there are plenty of other stunning spots around the estate to exchange vows. How about in a picturesque courtyard or on one of many terraces, there are plenty of spaces to choose from
We understand the importance of the wow factor – so whether you're looking for a luxurious wedding venue for up to 60 people or a beautiful villa to host an intimate gathering celebrating a milestone, we will help you create memories to last a lifetime.

Are children welcome?
Most certainly. The villas are perfect for families with kids, while several rooms at the hotel have sofa beds for parents travelling with children.
We don’t operate a set programme of activities, but our team can advise on plenty of fun family activities, recommend child-friendly beaches or how to keep teenagers entertained. You can find out more about Kids at Son Bunyola here.

Are pets welcome?
We understand that your furry friends are family too. Feel free to bring your pets along and make the most of our welcoming spaces, we've got everything covered to make your pet's stay as
delightful as yours.
While our canine companions can’t splash around in the pool or indulge in spa time, they’re more than welcome in the exterior dining areas, as long as they’re leashed.
Is the pool open to external guests?

Where is Son Bunyola Hotel & Villas located?
A scenic 45-minute drive from Palma, the Son Bunyola Estate is located on the island’s stunning north-west coast in the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage-listed Tramuntana Mountains
To reach the estate we recommend hiring a car for additional flexibility when exploring the area, although of course transfers can be arranged.
The traditional Mallorcan villages of Banyalbufar and Esporles are a few kilometres away from Son Bunyola, providing a variety of restaurants, tapas bars and other local amenities.
A complimentary round-trip shuttle service is available from the hotel to take guests to evening dining and Saturday morning market visits.
How do I get to the estate?
To reach the estate, we recommend hiring a car for additional flexibility when exploring the area, although, of course, transfers can be arranged.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
At the hotel, our official check-in time is 3 pm. For the villas, check-in is 4 pm. If you’re scheduled to arrive earlier, do let us know and we’ll try our best to accommodate. The time to say adios is officially 11 am on the day of your departure.
What should I pack?
If you are staying with us in the summer, pack plenty of lightweight clothes, a sun hat, sunglasses, a swimsuit, and comfortable shoes for walking.
Autumnal temperatures still allow for plenty of outdoor swims so don’t put away your swimsuit or shorts just yet!
We’d recommend packing a light jacket and sweater too for chillier autumnal or spring evenings.

Do you have any accessible rooms and facilities?
We offer a range of accessible facilities to ensure all guests enjoy a comfortable and inclusive stay:
- Wheelchair accessible areas throughout the property
- Dedicated parking spaces for guests with accessibility needs
- Rooms suitable for visually impaired guests
- One of our Deluxe Mountain View Rooms is equipped with a grab rail and a shower seat
- Lift access to all bedrooms (with the exception of the Tower Suites)
- Accessible lift into the hotel swimming pool
What is there to do at Son Bunyola?
Son Bunyola is perfect for unwinding with a pool dip, yoga, or tennis, all with stunning views.
The mountains are great for hiking, and you can enjoy creative and culinary experiences. Venture to Mallorcan beaches and sail the Mediterranean.

Are there any fitness and wellness facilities on-site?
There is a small gym on-site, which includes a treadmill, a stationary bicycle and weight bench. This is located next to the yoga and beach volleyball court area. Opening times: 07:00-21:00
Bikes are available for guests to help themselves to - you will find these located close to the main entrance of the hotel.
Located on the ground floor of the hotel, you’ll find two spa treatment rooms, including a couples’ treatment room. Relax with our signature head-to-toe body treatment. Following a day of cycling in the mountains, soothe aching muscles with a pressure point massage or simply chat to our therapist to create a bespoke treatment.
We offer both complimentary and private yoga and Pilates classes so you can look after your mind and body while improving your strength and balance. We can also arrange outdoor personal training sessions.

Is there a beach at Son Bunyola?
Yes! There is a beach on the estate that’s perfect for a refreshing swim after a leisurely stroll or bike ride from both the hotel and the villas. It’s a pebble beach, so we’d recommend taking appropriate footwear.
You can follow one of the paths to the pebble beach and continue along the coastal path. It’s a 40-minute’ walk to the beach from Son Balagueret and the hotel, and just 20 minutes from both Sa Terra Rotja and Sa Punta de S’Aguila.
Are babysitting services available at Son Bunyola?
While Son Bunyola Hotel does not offer babysitting services directly, we are pleased to assist our guests by providing a list of trusted local nanny and babysitting services. These independent providers can be contacted directly to arrange care that best suits your family’s needs during your stay. Our team is happy to share recommendations and help make your experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

What dining options are on-site?
We have 2 restaurants on-site and a poolside bar, which you can find out more about here.
Sa Terrassa is the hotel's main restaurant offering Mediterranean cuisine with sea views, open from March to November for hotel guests for breakfast, dinner and lunch and open to external guests for lunch and dinner. For opening hours, check here.
Sa Tafona offers a unique Mediterranean dining experience, blending local ingredients with culinary heritage in a former olive oil mill. This restaurant is open for dinner from April to November. For opening hours, check here.
The poolside bar is for those who wish to enjoy a leisurely lunch by the pool or in a not-so-formal setting. Opening hours: 11:00-18:00
Is catering available at the villas?
Villas are booked on a self-catering basis, and the rates include daily breakfast at the hotel or villa. If you would like to arrange catering services during your stay, we work with a trusted catering partner, Bluelime Bespoke. Further information is available here. We assure you a seamless pre-arrival experience and excellent service throughout your stay.
Are there other dining options in the area?
The nearby villages of Banyalbufar and Esporles have plenty of restaurants, offering a variety of local and international cuisine. Our team will be more than happy to share their favourites and assist with any reservations.
What should I wear at Son Bunyola?
The atmosphere at Son Bunyola is relaxed and informal; however, you are welcome to dress up in the evening.
Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Mediterranean, prepare to bask in abundant sunshine during the summer months, with temperatures often higher than 30 degrees. Make sure to pack your sunglasses and plenty of sun cream.
For cooler evenings in spring, consider packing a light jacket to stay cosy.
In winter, be sure to bring a coat and some warm clothes for the evenings. Don’t forget to throw in your swimwear for those blissful days when you can soak up the sun and enjoy our heated outdoor pool.
What happens if there is a medical emergency during my stay?
Should any of our guests have health concerns, we have first aid equipment and medically trained staff. If necessary, we can arrange for a doctor to come to the property or transport to the medical centre. The nearest hospital is a 30-minute drive away. We recommend you purchase travel insurance which includes appropriate medical coverage.
