Showing we care
At Kasbah Tamadot we’re committed to the local community, to the environment, and to sustainable development of the local tourism industry.
From local employment to working on charitable projects in partnership with the Eve Branson Foundation, supporting the community in which we operate is embedded in everything we do.
We also recognise our responsibility towards the environment and are continually looking to identify new methods for recycling, energy saving and waste disposal.
Supporting the community
When Sir Richard Branson purchased Kasbah Tamadot, free English classes were set up for the local population, irrespective of whether they wanted to ultimately apply for a role at the hotel.
Today, our team is 100% Moroccan with most of the team employed from the local community. Our staff retention rate is exceptionally high, and figures suggest that each individual employed at Kasbah Tamadot supports up to ten other individuals in their extended family.
The Eve Branson Foundation
Working in partnership with each village, projects are focused on bringing economic and social transformation and we have learned through mutual respect and determination how to successfully combine entrepreneurial spirit with the Berber culture.
Pack for a Purpose
Kasbah Tamadot and The Eve Branson foundation are proud members of Pack for a Purpose, which allows our guests to make a lasting impact on the communities they visit.
By saving just a few kilos of space in their suitcases, guests can bring supplies for local projects, and in turn, positively impact the lives of local children and families.
