Arguably one of the world’s most famous entrepreneurs and adventurers, Sir Richard Branson’s story has more twists and turns than one of his legendary world record attempts. Although Virgin Limited Edition came into existence in the year 2000, Richard already owned Necker Island, Ulusaba Private Game Reserve and The Roof Gardens. Necker Island is still Richard’s home, but he regularly visits the other properties in our collection.
Virgin Limited Edition and Virgin Hotels – the luxury lifestyle hospitality brand of the Virgin Group - have come together under the new parent brand named Virgin Hotels Collection.
Together both brands have some of the most incredible and unique properties within the industry and this unity sees them joining forces to further change the luxury hotel business for good. Virgin Limited Edition and Virgin Hotels will also be joined under the Virgin Hotels Collection brand by Virgin Residences and collectively have a significant growth strategy to add more city locations, resorts, and residences.
Virgin Unite is the non-profit foundation of the Virgin Group with a stated aim to unite great people and entrepreneurial ideas. Many of the community initiatives Virgin Limited Edition operates are supported by the Virgin Unite team, including the Eve Branson Foundation at Kasbah Tamadot in Morocco and Pride 'n Purpose at Ulusaba in South Africa.
