Food and drink

A taste of Mallorca

When it comes to food at Son Bunyola, think authentic Mallorcan dishes. With a focus on a farm-to-fork ethos, much of the produce served in the hotel's restaurants is grown in the estate's gardens and orchards. All are paired with irresistible wines handpicked by our sommelier, many of them award-winning Mallorcan wines from nearby vineyards.

At the villas, a private chef is on hand to finesse bespoke menus, bringing together the finest of Mallorcan ingredients with our guests’ individual tastes. Delicious!

Sa Terrassa

The hotel’s main restaurant, Sa Terrassa is named for its position directly in front of the finca’s striking façade.

Sa Terrassa embodies the spirit of the Mediterranean in every aspect. Nestled in an enviable location with sweeping sea views, it offers guests an unforgettable dining experience, savouring the finest local ingredients in a captivating setting.

The menu at Sa Terrassa highlights Mallorca’s fresh and authentic flavours, weaving together a tapestry of Mediterranean culture and cuisine. A variety of delicious dishes are thoughtfully paired with a selection of local, national, and international wines, promising a harmonious dining experience.

Sa Tafona - Opening June 2024

Discover the magic of Sa Tafona, housed within the historic olive press, where the menus showcase an exciting combination of Spanish tapas and international street food created with locally sourced products, served within a charming and thoughtfully restored oil mill. Each tapa is a delightful fusion of flavours, textures, and culinary artistry, transporting you across the globe without ever leaving your table.

Sa Tafona’s cuisine revolves around the freshness and quality of local products, accentuating the authentic flavours of the region. Gourmet tapas are meticulously crafted using seasonal ingredients, many sourced directly from nearby fields and orchards, as well as the estate’s very own vegetable garden.

It’s a one-of-a-kind culinary destination, celebrating the richness and diversity of international cuisines in a historic setting, and providing an experience that’s as unique as it is delicious.

Private dining

There’s a private dining room in Sa Terrassa for small groups. More intimate private dining for two in several locations around the hotel can also be arranged.

Keeping it local

The natural produce grown at the Son Bunyola estate gardens and orchards is celebrated throughout the hotel in innovative ways.

Ingredients include organic herbs and vegetables from the ever-expanding kitchen garden, citrus fruits from the orchards and olives, almonds and honey from the estate’s own beehives.

Vines have also been re-planted to grow the local grape variety and re-produce the estate’s own Malvasia wine from 2026 onwards, as it did to acclaim during the 19th century.
