British Virgin Islands
Things To Do
Visitors to the island of Mallorca typically arrive via the capital, Palma, whose airport is around a 40 minute drive to the estate. The island is well served by direct air connections from a range of European cities both by scheduled and charter airlines; visitors from further afield will need to connect via a European hub.
To reach the estate we recommend hiring a car which will give you additional flexibility when exploring the area. We are always happy to arrange airport transfer and taxis.
The traditional Mallorcan villages of Banyalbufar and Esporles are a few kilometres away from Son Bunyola, providing a variety of restaurants, tapas bars and other local amenities.

GOOD TO KNOW
People in Mallorca speak Spanish and Mallorquin (a dialect of Catalan). English is widely spoken, so if your Spanish is a bit rusty no one will mind. We do recommend you try though – the locals will definitely appreciate the effort!
In Mallorca the currency is the Euro and as you might expect, you can get money out from cash points in Mallorca or at the airport when you arrive. Credit cards are accepted widely, so you shouldn’t have a problem using plastic to buy things.
Tipping is at your own discretion. If you would like to leave a tip we ask that you please hand an envelope/tips to a member of the management team at the end of your stay so we can ensure tips are distributed evenly to all the staff. Please let them know if you wish your tips to go to someone in particular. If you have any questions about tipping, please speak to a member of our management team.
Outside of the Son Bunyola estate, tipping is generally expected in restaurants, bars, taxis and so on. As a guide this should be 10% of the cost of the service.
