Virgin Limited Edition is delighted to announce that both Necker Island and Kasbah Tamadot have been recognized in the Travel + Leisure 2021 T+L 500 list of the best hotels in the world.
Drawing on the Travel + Leisure 2020 World’s Best Awards readers’ survey results, Travel + Leisure has recognized the best hotels around the globe by naming them in this year’s T+L 500 list. Each hotel was rated by readers on its rooms/facilities, location, service, food and value.
Jon Brown, Managing Director of Virgin Limited Edition, commented: “It is such an honour to have not one, but two of our properties feature in such a coveted list. This recognition could not have come at a better time, during what has been one of the most challenging times the travel industry has ever faced. We know that so many people look to Travel + Leisure as a trusted resource to help inspire and guide them when planning their next adventure, and we hope that many more guests will discover us and visit as a result.”
After more than two years of construction, following the devastating effects of Hurricane Irma, Necker Island is now fully restored to its former glory and looking more beautiful than ever. Those visiting in 2021 will be amongst the first to experience the island following its incredible restoration that has included a brand-new Bali Hi complex, two additional guest rooms and the installation of three giant new wind turbines, furthering the island’s commitment towards sustainability and renewable energy. Exclusive use rates start from USD 105,000 per night, for up to 40 guests.
Situated in the spectacular Atlas Mountains in Morocco, the award-winning Kasbah Tamadot was bought by Sir Richard Branson during one of his famous ballooning expeditions and today is run by 99% Berber staff from the local villages. The romantic setting is perfect for relaxation and a cultural discovery of Moroccan food and custom where guests are invited to immerse themselves in local culture and visit the incredible work of the Eve Branson Foundation which enriches the lives of the local communities from the Atlas Mountains. Each of the 28 rooms and suites has been individually decorated to reflect the beautiful architecture of the building and features antiques from all over the world. Rates start from MAD 5,880 (£485.00 at today’s exchange rate) per room per night, based on double occupancy.
The Travel + Leisure 2021 T+L 500 list is featured in the March issue of Travel + Leisure, on newsstands February 19, www.travelandleisure.com.
