Mont Rochelle joins Pack for a Purpose

We are pleased to announce that Mont Rochelle is now a proud member of Pack for a Purpose, joining Kasbah Tamadot, Ulusaba, Necker Island and Mahali Mzuri. It’s a fantastic initiative that allows travellers like you to make a lasting impact in the community at your travel destination by simply keeping a small amount of space in your luggage and bringing much needed supplies for the local community.

Mont Rochelle is supporting FRANCO, a local organisation which focuses on bridging the gap between the communities in Franschhoek by organising community and social projects.

If you’d like to get involved and purchase items to help this worthy cause we’ll be happy to provide a list of supplies. Whether its clothing, school supplies or non-perishable food items, your donations will make a priceless impact to the lives of local children and families. If you’d prefer, we’re also happy to purchase the items needed on your behalf too – just speak to a member of the team for further details.

Heard it through the grapevine...

Here at Mont Rochelle we’re all about the wine, and caring for our vineyards is at the heart of the operation to ensure our harvest continues to produce top quality Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon.

This year we announced the news of an exciting replanting project at the vineyard, this is the first time the vineyard, which covers over 100 acres, has been replanted since 1994.

The project will see a completely new approach to planting and wine-maker, Dustin Osborne, has used GIS technology to establish which soils are best suited to certain grape varietals.

The first new vines were planted in July 2018 and consist of Cabernet Sauvignon varieties which will be harvested in 2022.

A vine time to visit

Guests staying at Mont Rochelle have the opportunity to meet Dustin and enjoy activities including daily wine tastings, a wine cellar visit and picnicking in the grounds.

When you're not drinking wine, how about a treatment in The Spa? Our Signature Grape Stem Cell Facial has been specially developed to make use of the restorative properties of the grapes grown on the estate, leaving you with awakened skin and a youthful glow.

With our free night offer, there’s no better time to visit Mont Rochelle. When you book a stay of three nights or longer before 30th April 2019, you'll receive your final night for free.
