Across our collection of properties the teams have been working hard to eradicate plastic and create recycling strategies to put waste to good use, or in Ulusaba's case put actual waste to very good use! That's right, the team use Elephant dung to create paper which is used for menus and those very friendly welcome letters!
When it comes to drinking water, reusable bottles are used across the collection, because after all, less plastic is fantastic! At The Lodge their 'give me tap' water bottle scheme encourages the use of reusable bottles. The money from any bottles that are sold goes to clean water schemes in Africa.
Sticking with water, at Kasbah Tamadot it doesn't just go down the drain but it's recycled and used to keep the gardens nice and green!
We're very proud of the initiatives the properties do to look out for our environment. They're always busy coming up with innovative ideas so keep an eye out on the blog for other activities.
