I love springtime in the mountains.
Beautiful blue skies and warm sunshine. Savoleyre-side of Verbier is all closed up and starting to edge back to a greener palette. Goggle-tanned seasonnaires walking around in shorts and flip flops. That is what the last 5 days has been like in Verbier.
This morning we awaken to dark skies and drizzle, followed by snow! And lots of it too!
If you thought the season was over, mother nature thought differently and has dealt us one final dumping of snow to enjoy before all the slopes are closed for another winter season.
The temperature has flipped from a fantastic 24C yesterday to a chilly -2C today and they have forecast 14cm of snow overnight!! Bring on the next week!
We have availability for last minute bookings up until Friday 26th April 2013, so why not make the most of fresh snow and deserted slopes and join us at The Lodge for the last week of the winter?!
Still don't believe me...take a look for yourself!
