As you will know by now, summer is well underway here at The Lodge (despite a bit of rain, but that's not putting anyone off!). The Verbier Festival kicked off on Friday so the town is buzzing with classical music lovers from all over the globe, experiencing live shows in various venues across Verbier.
In June we had our first mountain enthusiasts of the season, and none more enthusiastic than Colin Sheppard. Whilst staying with us Colin was in training for the Virgin Media 3 Peaks Challenge which took place on Sunday 3rd July. This involved climbing the 3 highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales, all in 24 hours, to raise money for Naomi House Hospice. Naomi House provides support to children and young people with conditions that mean they are unlikely to live to become adults. We'd like to say a huge congratulations to Colin for "rising" to and completing the challenge! Extra mention is also deserved as he was the oldest member of the group. Well done!!!

I'll keep you posted with how things are heating up here as we head into August.
