Well, they say time flies when you're having fun, and its been that long since I wrote, we must have been having loads of fun!! So, I am sure you are all wondering whats been going on in your favourite little corner of the Swiss alps......
Well, January has been and gone, and what a whirlwind it has been, 4 groups of guests through who have had some great skiing, and some big parties! The skiing has been great, and the past 2 weeks, after the madness of Christmas and New Years the slopes have been mainly empty! Some of the guests having entire pistes to themselves for a couple of runs over on Savolyeres. The instructors have been hard at work with 21 beginner level skiers in one week, keeping them running around after them and eventually everyone made it up the mountain! They are certainly not going to be lost up on the hill now, we finally recieved their new ski pants 3 weeks ago, as you can see there is no excuse not to follow them now!
Hannah has started the ball rolling to organise another fundraiser on the 6th of March, for one of the Virgin Unite charities, and the Mission:Possible campaign is going to benefit from that this year. Virgin Unite has launched Mission:Possible a campaign for Virgin staff across the UK to raise £2.5 million to create opportunities for young people. The main event being the Virgin London Marathon, which Paul has agreed to run in, but tied to 36 others!! In an attempt to beat the current world record for people tied together running a marathon!! We are hoping to get some big names along to host, Holly and Sam are attending, it is going to be halfway up the mountain in a restaurant called Le Cristal, which I am sure you may have eaten at if staying here, with stunning views out to the Grand Massif de Mont Blanc, and over into Italy, lets hope the weather stays clear! So, whats in store for the next few weeks?? More guests, more sun, more snow, and certainly a lot more fun, so, be sure to check in again in the next few weeks to see what else is going on up here. I hope to see you on the slopes soon, the snow is on its way, there looks to be a huge storm coming in this weekend to unleash its goods on us, so come on over before its too late!
