Happy New Year! I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and all enjoyed the festivities in the last week.
Where did 2012 go?! It seems like only yesterday I was writing to let you all know how much snow had fallen last Winter and now I can do it all over again! We have had a record start to the new season, with December 2012 boasting the best start to a season for years. This has created a fantastic base layer that will guarantee snow in Verbier until the end of the season!
2012 saw a lot of changes at The Lodge. New faces, old faces and returning faces dominated the year. We said farewell to Will, Alice, George and Karla. Welcomed back Gareth and said "Welcome" to Elspeth, Julie, James and of course Pebbles our Lodge dog!
But there is one person we could not leave out. After 6 years at The Lodge, Hannah and husband Paul, along with their gorgeous children Harry and Rosie (and BamBam too), departed Verbier to return to Blighty. Hannah and Paul set up the Lodge after leaving Necker Island and it is because of them that we get to live and work in one of the most fantastic places in the world. They are already missed but we will look forward to seeing them when they visit in the New Year! We wish Allen family all the very best of luck for the future.
So what does 2013 have in store for The Lodge? Well, a busy Winter season that is for sure! We have availability in March and April for exclusive use - and with all this snow, you"d be silly not to come and stay with us! We also have a very exciting charity ball taking place in April 2013 - more details of that to follow in the coming weeks! And of course, there is a lot of skiing to do.
So, on that note, I will grab my gloves, boots, skis and goggles and head out - well, there is only another 4 months of skiing left!
