Things to do
Christmas has come to Mont Rochelle and we’ve got that festive feeling as we look forward to another unforgettable holiday season.
On Christmas Eve it’s a tradition of ours to gather around the Christmas tree and sing carols with some of the local children who live on the nearby farm. Our Farm Supervisor, Clive, has been the conductor every year!
After Sinterklaas (that’s Santa Claus in Afrikaans) has visited, Christmas Day is all about enjoying good food, good wine and good company.
After all that food, we always recommend heading out into the South African sunshine to explore our vineyard estate. If you’re still feeling peckish, you can order a picnic from the Country Kitchen and sit down by the dam.
We’ll be kick starting 2020 in style and raising a glass to the new year in Miko. The celebrations start with canapés and bubbles, followed by a 5-course seasonal menu and live entertainment throughout the evening, before we count down to the new year at the stroke of midnight!
On New Year’s Day, the party continues as we turn up the heat with a sizzling South African braai feast accompanied by live music from local band Ozone.
