Mont Rochelle has two restaurants including the Country Kitchen, which joins up to our wine cellar. It's an ideal place for a light lunch in the sunshine or a relaxed dinner. Our main restaurant, Miko, is the setting for some fantastic gourmet meals including for those special occasions. Start the evening off with a refreshing cocktail from our bar and find a comfy space on the terrace to watch the sun set.

The Country Kitchen
The Country Kitchen is either a short walk or a quick drive from the main hotel building depending on how keen you are on the great outdoors. If you're visiting the Country Kitchen for lunch or dinner, or if you're off to the wine cellar just let us know and we'll take you over in one of our vehicles.

Miko
At Mont Rochelle the food served is a blend of international dishes with a healthy nod to the varied nature of South Africa cuisine, paired naturally with some superb local vintages. The wrap-around views of the Franschhoek valley do steal the show somewhat, but you can be sure our chefs have been focussing on dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Picnics
You are welcome to explore the grounds at Mont Rochelle, and what better way to this than with a picnic basket prepared by our team?! Just let us know whether you'd prefer a bottle of white, red, or perhaps both!

Wine Tasting
Our tasting centre offers a variety of experiences from quick and easy tasting to cellar tours as well as gourmet tastings. Enjoy wine tasting in this historic building beside one of the fireplaces in winter, or sip a chilled Sauvignon Blanc while taking in the beauty of the surrounding mountains during the summer. Previously a fruit packing shed, our cellar has many quirky elements and a unique feel.
