Mahali Mzuri

Our team often are asked about their favourite travel moments and tips for a stay at one of our properties, so we thought we'd share some our insider top tips. Have a read of what our Sales and Marketing team have to say about gallivanting to Kenya to experience Mahali Mzuri.

Take the time to enjoy your amazing bathtub with views out onto valley below and remember to have your binoculars handy as you'll be surprised by just how much you can see. Also take a dip in the outdoor infinity pool and soak in the views from there too. As the camp is set on a ridge above a wide valley it creates a natural amphitheatre for game viewing which is just simply amazing and you won't be disappointed!

You must have a treatment in the Nasaro Spa. It is built down on the valley floor with open front and whilst you are relaxing having an amazing treatment, you can look out and see the zebras and wildebeest slowly wandering past grazing on the grass. I would definitely recommend the Orinka stick massage which was incredible leaving you feel totally rejuvenated and ready to experience more game drives and walks.

Make sure you go on a safari walk - with your expert Masaai guide of course. Being in a private conservancy it is a unique experience in the Mara to walk among the plains game, which includes giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, various antelope. It gives you a very special and completely different feeling of the natural landscape while learning so much more about the flora fauna and Maasai Warriors. If you are feeling nervous, don't, you are in very good hands!

Food is the highlight of any holiday and at Mahali Mzuri you certainly won't go hungry! The early morning snacks were my favourite so make sure you bring your appetite to the camp. Also living in London there is so much light pollution we miss out on star gazing. It is absolutely breath-taking and on a clear night you can see for miles, explore the night sky with the telescope in the main tent!
