Foodie Friday: Harira Soup

Kasbah Tamadot

Take a taste of Kasbah Tamadot home with you, with our Foodie Friday recipe.

You'll need:

  • 150g onion
  • 75g lentils
  • 75g rice
  • bunch of parsley (chopped)
  • 100g celery
  • bunch of coriander (chopped)
  • 1.5 litre of water
  • 3 tresh tomatoes (with the seeds removed)
  • 75g chick peas
  • 1 Tablespoon of tomato paste
  • 30g flour
  • 1 Tsp cinnamon
  • Tsp black pepper (powder)
  • 2 tsp salt

Make it:

  • Sweat off the chopped onions, chopped celery and chopped tomatoes in roughly 20g of olive oil for about 5mins
  • Add the lentils and the chick peas and tomato paste cook for 5minutes
  • Add the water and cook for 30 minutes
  • After 30 minutes add the rice, then cook for 15 minutes until all the dry ingredients are nice and soft
  • Next mix the flour with a little water to make a wet paste, then add to the soup.
  • Bring to boil
  • Add the chopped parsley and coriander and serve
