How do I get to Ulusaba?

Fly to Johannesburg in South Africa, then transfer to the charter company for a 1hr 20 minute flight by twin-engine aircraft to our private airstrip. Once you've landed our team will greet you with a welcome glass of champagne, then take you to your lodge.

What are the rates?

Rates are quoted in South African Rand and range from ZAR 4,200 to ZAR 8,400 per person per night until September 30, 2008. Choose from a selection of rooms and suites; some rooms are perfect for children, one which can be a triple, some with balconies and plunge pools. The rates include accommodation, all food and beverages including fine Champagne, twice daily game drives, game walks, taxes and really nice staff! Rates are subject to change at any time. Minimum stays may apply.

Do I need a visa?

USA and EU citizens don't need a visa, but visitors from other countries should contact their nearest South African Embassy or Consulate. You must have at least two blank pages in your passport, and your passport should also be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended return date.

Do I need to take precautions against malaria?

Ulusaba is located within the Mpumalanga province (that's ma-pum-ma-langa - it's a mouthful!) which is a malaria endemic area. Please let your doctor know well in advance.

Can I bring my children?

Absolutely! We even have a Cubs Club to keep them entertained. Children under 12 are welcome to stay at Rock lodge and children over 6 can enjoy game drives.

Can I hire Ulusaba exclusively?

Yes indeed! Make it a family event, get married or make it a company retreat... whatever you like! You can hire one or both lodges for up to 36 guests.
