British Virgin Islands
Virgin is one of the most exciting brands in the world, with a reputation for excellence and a unique culture across its diverse range of businesses. Conceived in 1970 by Sir Richard Branson, the Virgin group operates in sectors as diverse as travel, mobile telephony, financial services, leisure, music, holidays and health and wellness. Virgin employs more than 50,000 people worldwide in over 50 countries. To learn more visit www.virgin.com.
Arguably one of the world’s most famous entrepreneur and adventurer, Sir Richard Branson’s story has more twists and turns than one of his legendary world record attempts. Although Virgin Limited Edition came into existence in the year 2000, Richard already owned Necker Island, Ulusaba Private Game Reserve and The Roof Gardens. Necker Island is still Richard’s home, but he regularly visits the other properties in our collection.
From the first moment Sir Richard Branson visited Necker Island in 1978 he had a vision, one that has resulted in one of the world’s most exclusive island retreats. Click play on the video above to learn about Necker’s history (so far!).
Virgin Unite is the non-profit foundation of the Virgin Group with a stated aim to unite great people and entrepreneurial ideas. Many of the community initiatives we operate at Virgin Limited Edition are supported by the Virgin Unite team, including the Eve Branson Foundation at Kasbah Tamadot in Morocco.
Virgin Hotels USA
With its first property now open in Chicago, Virgin Hotels is a Virgin branded company operating in the USA. They have a 250 room (sorry, they call them chambers!) hotel welcoming business and leisure travellers from around the US (and the world). There are even plans to open more hotels in the next couple of years, so watch this space. You can find out more by visiting their website.
Eve Branson Foundation
Kasbah Tamadot and Virgin Unite (the Virgin Group’s entrepreneurial foundation) work hand in hand to improve living standards in the communities around the property in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains.
This effort is spearheaded by Eve Branson, known to us as Richard’s mum! evebransonfoundation.org.uk/
Working on a non-profit basis, Pride 'n Purpose is Ulusaba's charitable arm committed to helping disadvantaged communities living adjacent to the Sabi Sand Reserve.
