British Virgin Islands
Moskito Island is situated in the beautiful and unspoiled British Virgin Islands. The island currently features a Recreation Area and the three villa Branson Estate. The Branson Estate was inspired by Necker Island, just a short boat ride away, and provides the perfect balance between that ‘home away from home’ feeling combined with the full range of services you’d expect from a luxury resort.
For guests sailing around the British Virgin Islands, Moskito Island’s Recreation Area is available for private day hire for 12 guests. The Recreation Area can be booked for a full day, an afternoon or just an evening where you’ll be able to enjoy the pool, pool bar, beach house and dining pavilions. We also have plenty of space to moor your yacht or catamaran just off this island too.
The shared Recreation Area on the island’s eastern side is where guests can take advantage of a diverse range of activities and dining opportunities based around the Beach House, infinity pool and bar, tennis pavilion, dining pavilions and watersports centre.
The Beach House sits at the centre of the Recreation Area with direct access to a sandy beach. There is a fully-stocked bar and coffee station as well as several lounge areas and a 90 inch TV. Grab a lounger next to the infinity pool and enjoy some sun and sea breezes while you sip on a cocktail from the bar!
Slip into the large infinity pool and soak up the views out to sea, or just swim up to the bar and order yourself a refreshing drink. Later on try out the hot tub as you gaze up at the stars.
The Tennis Pavilion has a wonderfully relaxing observation area overlooking the two tennis courts on island. The grand stand steps work well as a seating area for spectators and also for movie nights. Downstairs is a gym and wellness facility. Upstairs are loungers and chairs overlooking both the courts and the sea front, along with coffee making facilities.
Next to the tennis courts on the beach is our Watersports Centre. You could choose from any of the following activities: stand-up paddleboarding, kiting, wake boarding, Hobie cat sailing, snorkelling and more! Most activities are included in the rates however if the activity involves leaving the island or if a boat with a motor is required then a charge will apply.
Fine food is the highlight of any guest's stay on Moskito, and the options are endless. We can create bespoke menus around your individual tastes, or if you’re lacking inspiration we’ll let our chefs do the work. Dining can be formal or informal, indoor or outdoor, themed or traditional, beachside or poolside, or even under the stars. All meals and events can be arranged by our team on island. The Beach House kitchen is directly adjacent to a terrace and outdoor dining area with a grill and dedicated pizza oven and seating for 25.
There are three unique dining pavilions all equipped with individual speakers and fans. Closest to the waterfront, The Boat Pavilion has a seating capacity of 22 guests. The Round Pavilion is between the beachfront and the salt pond and seats up to 18 guests. The Lychee pavilion is the most protected pavilion set back from the beach and closest to the Salt Pond. The beautiful lychee wood table can hold up to 14 guests.
