February 17th is National Random Acts of Kindness Day which encourages acts of kindness all over the world.
During your stay at a Virgin Limited Edition property if you don’t see something that makes you smile then we haven’t done our job properly! We always strive to delight and exceed expectation, so it’s no surprise that it’s not just on Random Act of Kindness Day when our team go above and beyond, in fact you could say that every day is a special day at Virgin Limited Edition, and Mont Rochelle is no different.
We caught up with James, our General Manager, to hear just a few of his favourite examples of random acts of kindness in the local community:
1. We recently had a very large group booking for afternoon tea, and unfortunately about an hour before they arrived they had to cancel. Instead of wasting any of the food the kitchen team rallied together, packed up all of the freshly made sandwiches and cakes and headed off to the local township so that it could be enjoyed by the local community rather than go to waste.
2. When the team caught news of a local school trip that was cancelled on the day, the thought of disappointed kids was too much to bear! Thankfully Dustin, our head winemaker came to the rescue and we arranged for a fun tour of the winery to learn how wine is made, from picking the grapes right through to the juice being pumped in to steel tanks. To top it all off we organised a tasty picnic for them to enjoy by the dam afterwards!
